1955 Alfa Romeo 1900 Super for restoration or preservation. Here is an unrestored, original car that has been sleeping for over 45 years. It was found in an old carriage house and had been sitting there since the early 70’s. The engine turns over, but I have not tried starting it. It is chassis #AR1900*14442 with the original matching engine # AR1306*15500. The mileage is 44,436 km (27,611 miles). This car was originally purchased by a Doctor in Rome, Italy in December 1955. It still has its original black Italian “Roma” rear plate as registered to its original owner. It has some minor rust, but structurally it is very sound. The chrome will have to be redone. Extensive Italian documentation, manuals and sales brochures come with this car. Also included are the rare original tool kit in its original canvas tool bag and also the jack in its original canvas bag. These are both rare, valuable items. I have had this project for several years, but I have several projects ahead of this and retirement to a warmer climate is calling.
Description of what will display on the AROC website.

Here is an unrestored, original 1955 Alfa Romeo 1900 Super that has been sleeping for over 45 years. It was found in an old carriage house and had been sitting there since the early 70’s. It has not been started since that time. It is chassis #AR1900*14442 with the original matching engine # AR1306*15500. The mileage is 44,436 km (27,611 miles). This car was originally purchased by a Doctor in Rome, Italy in December 1955. It still has its original black Italian “Roma” rear plate as registered to its original owner in 1955.

The body work and paint appear to be original except for some minor repair work done on the right rear bumper. It has some minor rust, but all the floors and structural members are in very good shape. The chrome will need to be redone and all the chrome trim was recently removed in preparation for re-chroming. The “cool” roof rack is a period aftermarket piece that was specifically designed to match the rounded contours of the 1900 Super roof.

The original 1900 twin cam, 4 cylinder engine rotates, however I have not tried starting the car. The gas tank is empty. At the very least the carburetor & fuel system will need to be gone over, to get it running. The original manual transmission is a 4 speed with the column shift. The interior features aftermarket red vinyl covers of that period. In the trunk, you will find the rare original tool kit in its original canvas tool bag and also the jack in its original canvas bag.
